The Non Nobis is a hymn or prayer used by the Knights Templar as thanksgiving and an expression of humility. The prayer comes from Psalm 115:1 and reads: Non Nobis, Non Nobis, Domine Sed nomini tuo da gloriam and means "Not to us, Not to us, O Lord, but to your name give glory".
This sword is made to commemorate the non nobis prayer and the Knights Templar as the carbon steel blade bears the full prayer inscribed in gold. The handle is wrapped in brown leather and a gold chain. The metal pommel and guard both have an iron cross adornment, and the sword hangs nicely on the included wood plaque.
